Details:

Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE), the Education Bureau (EDB), the Physical Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the seventh Hong Kong Physics Olympiad (HKPhO) was successfully completed on 24 May 2009. 

A total of 799 students from 110 secondary schools were nominated to participate in the competition. 

High-achieving contestants will be arranged to participate in a series of follow-on enhancement training programmes, from which high-performing students will be selected to represent Hong Kong to participate in the 41st International Physics Olympiad to be held in Croatia in 2010.
